THE TANK CODE
Advertising rules
Buy a billboard, not a promise. These rules explain how placement works and what is not allowed in my goldfish’s tank.
Effective and last updated August 29, 20261. What you are buying
- A purchase buys a paid digital advertising placement in My Goldfish.
- It does not buy ownership, shares, tokens, investment returns, revenue share, traffic, clicks, customers, or a permanent position.
- Placements are advertisements supplied by advertisers. They are not our recommendations, certifications, or endorsements.
- The aquarium has limited billboard space. Higher paid placements rank higher and generally appear larger, subject to layout and size limits.
2. Ranking and outbidding
- The aquarium contains 10 fixed billboard positions. An empty position costs $5.
- An occupied position costs exactly $1 more than its current confirmed owner paid. Checkout revalidates this price before opening.
- Verified payment replaces the previous creative in that position. The previous buyer receives no refund or credit merely because they were replaced.
- Another advertiser may pay more and move your placement down or out of the visible aquarium at any time.
- The amount and preview shown immediately before checkout control your order. Demo billboards and preview data are not paid placements.
- We may reasonably adjust layout, visible slot count, board sizes, and opening price to keep the service usable. Checkout always shows the board and price controlling your order.
3. Your listing
- You must be at least 18 and authorized to advertise the submitted business, brand, destination, and logo.
- Your brand name, tagline, destination, logo, bid amount, rank, and click count may be public and indexed by search engines.
- Destination and logo URLs must be direct HTTP or HTTPS links. They must remain safe, accurate, and functional.
- Do not use redirects, shorteners, or cloaking to hide the final destination.
- Your destination must clearly identify its operator and provide legally required company, contact, advertising, and privacy information.
4. Content that is not allowed
We may reject or remove, without notice, any ad or destination involving:
- Illegal goods, services, activity, sanctions evasion, or content that violates applicable law.
- Scams, phishing, malware, deceptive claims, impersonation, fake endorsements, or manipulated click activity.
- Hate, harassment, threats, graphic violence, exploitation, or content that endangers children.
- Pornography, sexual services, adult platforms, or explicit content.
- Gambling, betting, lotteries, casinos, or get-rich-quick and guaranteed-profit claims.
- Unlicensed financial, securities, crypto, lending, medical, pharmaceutical, legal, or other regulated offers.
- Weapons, illegal drugs, tobacco or nicotine products, counterfeit goods, or unauthorized streaming.
- Political campaigning, election persuasion, or fundraising for candidates or parties.
- Copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights violations.
- Chat, invite, or private-group links whose destination cannot be reliably reviewed.
5. Review and removal
- Payment confirmation does not waive review. We may delay, refuse, resize, edit for formatting, hide, or remove a placement that violates these rules or creates legal, security, animal-welfare, or reputational risk.
- Removal for a rule or Terms violation does not create a refund. Mandatory rights under applicable law still apply.
- We may request proof of identity, authority, licensing, claims, or ownership before or after publication.
- To report an ad, include the billboard name, destination, reason, evidence, and your contact information in an email to legal@brandmygoldfish.lol.
6. The fish experiment
- The fish-controlled signal and any related account are entertainment and a public experiment—not financial advice, portfolio management, copy trading, or a service for advertisers.
- Advertisers do not own, direct, or have any claim to the experiment account, its assets, gains, losses, or decisions.
- Any allocation of net sponsor revenue occurs only after payment fees, taxes, refunds, operating costs, reserves, and legal or platform restrictions.
- Signals, trades, balances, and videos may be delayed, simulated, paused, changed, or discontinued for safety, law, animal welfare, or technical reasons.
- No animal will be harmed or deprived of normal care to produce a signal or piece of content.
7. Payments and final-sale policy
- Dodo Payments processes checkout as Merchant of Record. Its buyer terms, taxes, compliance decisions, and payment rules also apply.
- All purchases are final and non-refundable to the fullest extent permitted by law. My Goldfish does not offer discretionary refunds.
- You request and consent to the digital advertising service beginning immediately after confirmed payment and, to the extent legally permitted, waive any cancellation, cooling-off, or withdrawal right once performance begins.
- Being outbid, receiving fewer clicks than expected, disliking the placement, temporary downtime, layout or feature changes, service discontinuation, or removal for a violation is not grounds for a refund or credit.
- The only exceptions are refunds required by applicable law or independently required or approved by Dodo Payments. Dodo Payments retains final authority over refunds, disputes, duplicate charges, technical billing errors, and chargebacks.
8. These rules work with the Terms
The Terms of Service and Privacy Policy also apply. If these Rules conflict with the Terms, the Terms control.
