Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

The Brand My Goldfish project is responsible for personal data it controls through this service. Privacy requests may be sent to privacy@brandmygoldfish.lol.

2. Information we collect

• Listing information: brand, tagline, destination URL, optional logo image, color, billboard position, purchase amount, click count, and timestamps.
• Checkout information: contact email, order, checkout-session and payment identifiers, payment status, amount, and accepted policy version.
• Payment information: billing and card information is collected by Dodo Payments, not stored by us. We receive confirmation and transaction metadata needed to activate a placement and handle disputes.
• Click and technical information: the selected billboard, time, request information, IP address, user agent, referrer, and similar logs may be processed by us or infrastructure providers to redirect visitors, count clicks, secure the service, and stop abuse.
• Communications: information in support, rights, refund, moderation, or privacy requests.

3. Public information

Billboard content, destination, logo, amount, rank, and click count are public. They may be copied, shared, cached, archived, or indexed by search engines. Do not submit a listing if you do not have authority to make that information public.

4. How and why we use information

• To create checkout, confirm payment, publish and rank billboards, redirect clicks, and provide the purchased service.
• To review ads, detect fraud or manipulation, enforce Rules and Terms, protect the service, and resolve disputes.
• To maintain accounting, tax, transaction, consent, and legal records.
• To debug, measure aggregate use, improve the experience, and communicate about an order or request.

Depending on location, these uses may rely on contract, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, compliance with law, or consent where law requires it.

5. Cookies and local storage

My Goldfish does not currently set advertising cookies. Essential checkout, security, hosting, or preference technologies may be used by the service and its providers. Dodo Payments may use its own cookies and similar technologies on its checkout under its privacy notice. If non-essential analytics or advertising technology is added, this policy and any legally required consent controls will be updated first.

6. Who receives information

• Dodo Payments for checkout, payment, tax, fraud, refund, and dispute processing.
• Hosting, database, email, security, logging, and infrastructure providers needed to operate the service.
• Professional advisers, insurers, auditors, buyers, or financing parties where reasonably necessary and lawfully protected.
• Authorities, courts, platforms, rights holders, or other parties where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, and the service.

We do not sell personal information for money. Advertiser destinations receive ordinary browser request information when you follow their links and are responsible for their own privacy practices.

7. Retention

Public placements remain while needed to operate rankings and may remain in limited backups, archives, or legal records after removal. Order, payment, tax, consent, fraud, and dispute records are kept for legally required or reasonably necessary periods. Technical logs and click records are kept only as long as needed for security, debugging, aggregate counts, and abuse prevention. Requests and notices are retained as needed to respond and document compliance.

8. International processing and security

Providers may process information outside your country. Where required, appropriate contractual or legal transfer safeguards are used. We apply reasonable technical and organizational protections, but no online service or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or export personal information; withdraw consent; and complain to a privacy regulator. To make a request, email privacy@brandmygoldfish.lol. We may verify identity and authority before acting. Some information may be retained where required for contracts, accounting, fraud prevention, legal claims, or other lawful reasons.

10. Children and changes

The service and paid placements are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child submitted information.

We may update this policy as the service, providers, and law change. The date above identifies the current version. Material updates will be posted here.
